it's a bit crazy today. nono, not the crowd over at the shopping malls but my huge appetite.

i did have lunch today, but i ended up having 2 pratas and a huge cup of milo cino.

"......................................."

so i called up my mum and asked her to not cook dinner for me. if i cont eating, my 2 days of running regime would have gone down the drain. i think it's down already, i ate 4 kit kats yesterday.

"........................................"

but anyways, as i was walking to work today, i saw a long line outside apple shop. hmm.. so i queued behind. hahhaah. i don't know what these ppl are queuing for right? so i asked the lady in front of me.

me: "excuse me, may i know what are you queuing for"

lady: "don't know"

hahah. hahah. hahah.

this is wat i call money see monkey do. and er.. yeah, i'm one monkey too. =P

so then i realised, apple is selling ipod nano for $138 to tourists as long as u show ur passport and show that you're on vacation in spore and you're first 100 (i think) u can buy the nano for 138 bucks. good deal right? but it's limited to tourists, so it isn't a good deal for me lar.

as for queuing.. sporeans are known for it, from McDonalds hello kitty to free milo tins. now foreigners are queuing too!!

on a side note, i actually love the great singapore sale!! these days i've spent quite a bit. haiy, my pay all gone le lor. but.. my very nice auntie sponsored some of my items. heh. :) like my jacket for grad day and a stripped shirt. almost hitting to 100bucks for that 2 items. well, if it weren't for the sale, these 2 itmes would cost doubled.

so.. i shld stop buying stuff though i work in town.

that strong desire of purchasing, should come to a full stop(.)

media player playing: you raise me up - josh groban

i love this song, the lyrics speak volumes. and er.. i just found out it's a christian song. hahaha. =D

so yeah!! im gg to watch over the hedge. :) hiay.. sometimes, when ur frens have got bfs.. well, they tend to watch movies with their bfs. and if ur frens don't watch cartoons, u can't go with them. and if you normally don't ask ppl out for movies, then suddenly ask, i think there's a hidden agenda behind that invitation which (may) be quite obvious. hahaha.

so.. maybe it's time to get a bf (and all for the wrong reasons). hahah.

where was i? oh yeah.. i posted a few more photos ranging from ppl to places and back to ppl. hahaha. was kinda bored though, so well.. took a look at my photos. hmm.. there aren't many photos on my laptop, most of them r stored at the desktop. shall transfer someday.

it's playing micheal buble's home. elliot yamin sang this song, but i still like the original version lar. =) talking abt american idol, my stakes are on taylor hicks. hahaha. even simon cowell says he'll win. that fellow is normally spot on.

scanned thru all my CDs, and there's this CD where no one can ever imagine i possessed it. it's sammi cheng's canto pop cd. hahah. i think i listened to it once, and it has been there for thousand yrs already.

for one, i don't really listen to a lot of sammi cheng and neither do i like/understand canto pop. i bought it cos i thought it's chinese, how i know it's canto ar? the uncle never tell me wor. as for the rest.. i've got a few christian CDs and 90% are given by my frens. wahahahahaah.

have got only 2 secular english CDs. moulin rouge soundtrack and damien rice CD. love both CDs. i think.. i only buy CDs when i think they are really good. i bought the moulin rouge soundtrack even before i watched the movie, cos i like Come What May. hahah.

as for damien rice.. he's just plain good lar.

dad's watching the windtalkers outside right now. some war flick which i like!! hahaha. if u haven't catch it, then maybe catch it.. OR another alternative is.. u can borrow from me. cheap cheap cheap. (i promise) =P

it's almost 1am, but i can't sleep. hmmm...

feel like gg to geylang and eat the durian, the horfan, the soya bean, the tian ji zhou.

havent blade for almost a month i think. just went for a run yesterday. worked today. and i think i shld try head to bed now.

media player playing: when i see u smile - bryan adams

my 2nd post in 2 hrs. was talking to a fren over the phone, and well.. chatted abt some relationship stuff. nope, i'm not a pro in such stuff but i'll give my 2 cents worth of advice (no GST though) hahah.

maybe the end of last yr, someone told me abt decisions we make abt r/s can be God-centered or self-centered. i think it's pretty understandable on the terms God or self centered.

and i think many times, we actually make decisions 'self-centeredly' and not 'God-centeredly'. basically, our lives revolve us and only ME ME ME. i admit, i'm one of those ME ME ME kind of person.

how sometimes, i try to play God and do things in my hands and not seeking the face of God. as i spoke to my fren, telling him all these, those volumes of emotions can't seemed to be contained by itself. my voice shook and eyes teary.

all those talk but no action.

in case some of u who doesn't know, my dad was slated for an operation before i went to japan. tats y i wasn't exactly really excited abt the trip becos of the money problem. my family isn't rich lar and we've got no idea how to pay those hospital bills, plus my dad's not gg to work for 2 months, how r we gg to survive for those months?

after coming back frm japan, i worked at popular holdings at some admin stuff earning 800 bucks for a month. this job was given by God cos well.. it just came. i figured that, that 800 bucks prob won't be enuff to feed my family so i shld go into f&b, work on weekends i can even earn over 1k. so i left my popular job after 2 weeks and landed at my current workplace earning way less than 800.

i think i was out of mind to quit popular and work f&b. thinking back, it was dumb of me not to place that suitation into God's hands. till now... we've got no problems surviving. cos some nice folks actually blessed us.

my worries? are just plain useless. God is really bigger than any of us. human beings has got their limit but not God. i shld really start having faith (and faith comes from the word of God) and believe that God is in control.

a God-centered life

wat a coincidence!! radio's playing lee hom's song again!! =D and i think i'm down with fever. hmmm... feeling cold and hot at the same time, whole body aching, a wee bit of headache, running nose. maybe.. it's the tempreature in my room at 23degrees. maybe.. it's the weather.

was checking my mails earlier in the day. oh, btw send mails to gmail ok.. no yahoo, no hotmail. jen was like saying
"eh how many email accounts have u got? i thought you're using yahoo??"

err.. hahahah. hahaha. hahahaha. hahaha. send mails to callmejoyce@gmail.com pls hor.. no rubbish ar. can send those interesting stuff though. :)

(my wireless is just crap)

as i was saying.. checking my mails. yeah. i saw grace's mail. not grace liew (my cousin) but grace lee!! no lar.. it's not that she hasn't mailed me anything or talked to me. hmm.. i've always wanted to blog about her becos.. i think she's one of my longest friend. nono.. she is the LONGEST. =D

i knew her when i was about 4 i think. we were neighbours and she's got a younger sister and brother. we used to play along the corridor, from hopscotch to using chalk to draw draw on the corridor floor. eh.. not vandalising k, we used water to wash it off after that. :)

our favourite tv show got to be Barney (yes, that purple big dinosaur).
Let's sing:

i love you
you love me

we are happy family
with a great big hug and a kiss from me to you
won't you say you love
me too

hahah. great song. :)

childhood.. it's like carefree. play all you want, (u got to do ur homework though), friendship then was truly, geninuely true and sincere.

if i'm not wrong, at the age of 7. the whole family decided to move to Malaysia becos of the dad i think. i still remember that evening when the whole family came over to my house for dinner. haiy. that was the really last time.

on and off they came back during that yr to collect some stuff from their flat, and subsequently, they moved from Johor to KL. and since then on, i haven't seen her.

but eh.. we wrote letters. and i mean really letters, snail mail you know. back then where got internet right? hahaha. i kept all those letters in a box, nicely placed in my cupboard. :)

3 yrs back, i went on a family holiday trip to KL and pestered my parents to go visit Grace. eh.. her place is really ulu k. hahaha. Thank God her dad was home. and he was so pleasantly surprised by our impromtu visit. heh. Grace wasn't home though. so his dad drove us down to this err.. i think library where Grace was doing some stuff.

she's changed so much!!! we were both a little speechless, u know that kind of so-long-never-see-don't-know-what-to-say that kind of thing. but.. as old friends, we hit off after a while. met up with her mum, younger sis and bro and headed to this HUGE shopping centre to have dinner and both of us shopped around.

that was the end of our one day meet up. and i havent seen her since then. BUT she's now on my msn, and yup, received an email from her.

hmmm.. maybe we shld get back to writing snail mails? hahaha.

hey, i really proud to have like a fren like her. i mean.. do u keep close contact with your childhood frens? still remember the games u guys played, the (silly) stuff that u did? i've known Grace for 16 yrs? since i'm 20, then shall minus 4. it's 16 right? my maths is that poor hor?

WOW. WOW. WOW. 16 yrs leh....

come to think of it, many of my neighbours have moved. then those my generation have all grown up. we used to play catching, hide and seek over at the playground downstairs. what do i see now? hmm.. eyes fixed on the computer screen, playing all those games. how many do go to the playground? think numbers have gone down.

anyways, it's 16 yrs!!! yippeeeeee!!! =D

Lee's blood

radio playing: da cheng xiao ai - wang lee hom

i like this fellow too. cos he's talented. =) i think he's the one of the few ABCs who can really make good chinese music (david tao included). therefore, i've jio-ed ray to go watch his concert with me!! hahhaha. i really wonder how spectular it will be to see him sing live and him playing all his instruments. (it is said that he can play 18 instruments) wow..wow..wow.. hahah

oh.. mum was very gan cheong today. when i got home.. somehow, she looked REALLY happy. "eh.. tigerairways to bangkok only 88cents for one way. my frens n i going. can help me book?"
i see... thats the reason behind that happiness. hahah.

right. so i checked checked.. it turned out to be quite expensive cos she's gg to travel during the sept one wk holidays. she called up her frens and told that abt the price (which was doubled during the holidays). she came back and said "my fren don't want to go already.... "

oh... actu mum really wanna go for a holiday. can't even remember when she went for a holiday. hmmm... the place mum really wanna go is Korea. yea lar.. all becos of the jewel show. but it'd be good for her to travel for a while cos she hasn't been out for a long time while me and dad has got chances to travel.

next yr? i promise to bring her to korea with her AH HEM money. hahahaha. well, it's her money afterall. LOL.

i think... travelling is in the Lee's blood.

media player playing: when i see you smile - bryan adams

heard this song after service, somehow the worship was singing this song. (maybe it's mothers' day lar) might upload this song on blog, cos it's really nice!!

woah.. havent update for almost a wk. nth much to update too, just that my life revolves round work, family and God. woah waoh waoh.. hahah :) have been feeling happy and not so happy lately... but maybe more of the former.

i think i enjoy talking to ppl. esp to ppl whom i think i can just pour and pour and pour (there isn't much to pour abt lately. heh) or some ppl who has psyhic powers, knows wat i'm thinking even before i say, ppl like eslyne lar. i think she is my brain juice. got to squeese it out.. not too good to remain there for long. hahah

somehow, i like elsyne. we got to knew each other way back in yr 1 though we're in diff classes, we were in the same 'elective' classes. i think it lasted for 2 yrs. then such coincidence that we're both attached to the same company for attachment. and i think our friendship started from there...

though.. yes we are not really those really really close that kind of frens, but i appreciate her. giving me opinions/options for this fickle minded me. always listening, and lending me those tv cds. heh. =)

eh.. if you're gg grad day.. (not too sure if im gg yet), err.. take photo with me? hahahah. i might not be ard for long... :)

kinda missin poly life. so melvyn was asking me today, "so you're looking forward to gg back to school?" a definite resounding YES from me. man.. i hate working, though yes, it brings the cold hard cash.. but i think there's more to life than just earning those bucks. you can't bring it along with you when u die anyway.

so.. rest and relax. learn to enjoy the things around you. the people, the trees, the sky, the birds, the rain and the scorching sun (which i think many hates).

when you're really tired.... maybe it's time to give a hint and take a short break. as the saying goes, one needs to rest so as to take on the longer road. (hahah, bad translation)

i still LOVE God. :)

sch's going to start in july!! yeah!! =D and gg to receive offer letter this coming week.

been a really hetic week, worked consectively for 7 days, and phew.. i'm pretty burnt out. eh.. so long never work le lor.. since 2nd yr. but what to do.. spend time and need money. but i don't think i'll continue with it when sch starts. prob give tution. hahah. =P i'm notoriously good k.. :)

couldn't get a full sleep lately, waking up in the wee hours of the morning, and dreaming in and out. goodness, my mind is tired.

have been sitting at my desk and look at all my holiday photos. i particularly miss the hong kong ppl. chris and cj are both in US and UK respectively. while the rest of the 3 girls are in spore, somehow.. we don't go holidays leh. hahahah. money's an issue and so is time. our holidays are so different, that rho lar!!

i really like this photo of this whole grp of us with the bright lights of hk behind us. haha.. i still can image that night when we were lookin for ppl to take photos for us. still, it's beautifully and tastefully taken. :)

that should be my first non official sch trip/chruch trip with friends. oh.. come to realise, all who went are leaders. hahaha. yea, that was last yr. still remember jen giving me a call "eh.. wanna go hk anot? Chris just asked, he said there's an offer for air tickets to hk by jetstar." like they said, the rest was history.

the 4 girls squeezed into a tiny living room in irving's apartment (yes hk houses are dirt small), talked and crapped thru the night. still remembered we complaining Jen snored the loudest!!! hahah.

us, shopping till we dropped, walked till we so desperately wanted to go for foot reflex but chancing upon one, we gave up that thought, because the palor looked pretty sleazy. we ended up massaging each other's feet that need. talking abt jesus washing the feet for his diciples. hahahah.

still had a hell loads of fun. as the saying goes, it isn't the place that you went, it's the ppl u went with.

can we go on a holiday once again??? pretty please??

went over to ngee ann poly yesterday, and yes, alone. so had dinner with my favourite laksa yong tau fu. i tell u.. the stall auntie is as usual very funny. bascially my dinner cost $2.30, and i only had 4 bucks with me.

auntie: give me $0.30

me: ar.. i don't have

auntie: $0.20?

me: no coins

auntie then gave me $1.70, which she so easily pushed it frm her side to my side.

hello........................... is it so difficult to give me my exact change? i don't know y man... they always find it so DIFFICULT to get small change for us. well, not only in sch, but also in hawker centres. my dad will always say "these ppl y so lazy? always ask got small change, got small change? go find the change lar."

heh.. basically my dad detests/don't like (is milder) these sort of 'lazy' ppl. hahaha.

but on a sidenote, the laksa tasted good. :) and of course wats joyce without muah chee from np. hmmm.. taste a bit different though.

media player playing: have you ever really loved a woman - chris daughtry

i think.. this song will be song of the week lar. original singer should be bryan adams but... i think i like this version.

have been really tired lately. working till say 10 plus.. reach home ard 11 plus and by then i'm pretty dead BUT can't get to sleep. hmm.. maybe insomnia. hahah. but gosh.. tired tired tired tired tired *yawns*. yup, i'm sure you got it. hahah

happy labour day!! its a day off for me and went blading with jen and rho. superb weather. finally saw the sun after days of wetness (it's still wet lar). and since we didn't have anything to do .. we went over to the istana since it's open to public. initially it was girls outing.. then the girls' bfs came over. yea lor yea lor, i became a big lightblub lar. =P

as we were moving off, it started to rain (the rain coming over to our side).. the girls in front of us went hysterical.. Ahhhh... then ran back to the building.. while me and jen frantically open our umbrellas. hilarious lar.

oh.. did i mention the song of the week goes to have you ever really loved a woman?
